| Guys when I was a kid I had a few issues of the mag, where they redid a 55 oval. I'd like to find the issues again. The whole series of the resto. Does anyone remeber the month and year? |

Not sure of it's the series you're thinking of, but.....
HotVws did a restoration series on a '54 that was owned by Ron Fleming (FAT Performance) The series was entitled "Full Circle" and consisted of several articles. The 1st of the series was featured in the July 1983 issue, and continued through 1986/87. Then the series sudenly stopped. Then in early 2000?, Rich Kimball did a quick re-collection of the series with a final entry of the series complete with pictures of what the '54 looked at that time. |

The Full Circle car was originally featured in a 2 or 3 issue series in Volkswagen Greats (late 1975), when it was converted to a bracket racer powered by a FAT Performance (then Fleming-Aronson-Thurber)-built engine.
My issues are in storage, so I may not be 100 percent accurate on the details... |

| I remember that car and might still have the issues around somewhere. As I remember it was your typical 80's cal look hack of a nice oval. Dechromed, filled dash with toggle switches an cockpit vdo guages, swapped out rear apron, one piece windows, nerf bars, baby turbo mirrors, wink mirror, yada yada yada. . |
