View original topic: Audi A4 seats in a 68 beetle?

I have a totaled A4 Audi with real nice heated power leather seats. Thinking about putting them in my 68 Cabrio. Am I nuts? Haven't looked at the mounting requirements, figure I'd have to fabricate something.
Pipe dream or potential reality?

If they fit and you can fabricate something, go for it. The only issue with adapting other seats into a Beetle is that Beetles are so narrow. Karmann Ghias adapt other seats rather well.

go for it . i love having great seats.
i currently have some BMW m3 seats. they were rather wide, just barely fit, and im had to bend the heat channel area but not the actual heat channel which is inside the frame an a little smaller. You may not have to do this . I bent this area down cause the bmw seats can move vertical as much as 3 plus inches . i wanted to get as much usable adjustment as possible and if i sat them on the side rails the top most adjustment was too far up. Also the e brake is tight between them but works fine. I even have a steering brake in there.

Steering Brake. Brakes one of the rear wheels at a time independently. Fun in the mud and good when i'm stuck and one wheel is spinning while the other isn't moving.

heres with the handle
