| I've rebuilt this 34 PICT carb 3 times and still cant get motor to run when engine warms up. I need to know if i have bad carb or engine needs work. Will a valve adjustment make any difference? |

| Possibly a HUGE difference, along with possibly points, coil, plugs, plug wire(s), ignition timing, fuel pump, fuel filter, and several other things I can't think of at the end of a loonng day |

Do a valve adjustment, it IS NOT HARD at all, take 5-10 min if its your first time, but you have to do it with the motor stone cold, like 8+hours after running.
If you keep trying to get your motor up to temp without adjusting valves, you might be start to mushroom a valve or two.
good luck |

don't lose heart! it is possible to get the 34 pict 3 to run WELL. I've had very bad luck with the bocars however. I'm in NY as well and it took many months to chase down the reasons for my rough running in my new mexican 1600 DP motor. It was not the 34 carb but ended up being a bum SVDA i bought from aircooled.net. John exchanged the bad unit with another and i smile when ever i drive it now.
good luck |

Hey,
I live in Buffalo and I have a bug. I also have a 34 PICT 3 that you can swap out with yours to see if it works. |
