Hi all. I have what I think is a brazilian made replacement beam. I got it from a guy who says it was in his garage for 20+ yrs. Supposedly was bought for late model bug (unknown year) but never used. I got it cheap, but am wondering if it's the right beam to use on my 70 bug. It had a sticker on it W/ part no. 113.401.021.1. Google finds nothing on this number. :?
Any help is appreciated. |

| Hold it up to the beam you have. Do all the parts line up? If so then it'll work fine. |

There were only two types of beams used on the bug for 60 years.
King/link ping beams shock towers went straight up, and the shock mounted to the side.
A ball joint beam's shock tower angles up and out, and the shock mount stud passes through the bottom of the tower.
