Installed a bracket to hold me extra steering link and control arm tool out of the way.

I fabbed a bracket to hold my license plate since I cut the rear skirt off last weekend. And put a new air cleaner on.

And I stalled a CB.

Something is wrong with your plate, Looks like there is a big peice of black tape over it.......

Go with the winch! That way when you run off the road from no brakes you can use it to get out... 8)

installed windshield and speedometer cable today on the truggy. decided to go with the brake system instead of the winch for now. order the parts. my son has set up different mud obstacles with different approaches and it still walked right through it. my baja even had trouble with some of the obstacles he set up.

Just got done bed inering the inside of my baja. I got that crap all over my hands, arms and hair. :( But it looks good on the inside.

Not done for the day yet. I just got done trying to mount the new rear fenders for baja #2 and they are pieces of shit. but they where pretty much free so i cant complain.

I spent the last few weeks reading endless threads on here trying to figure out which way to head with my new baja. Someday I will post some pics. :D

nope, it was just a stocker. fuel sender and speedo. Now that i cut the roof off, i kinda want to keep it and make some kind of rail out of it. it would only take me about 10 yrs the way i do things.

Greased my front beam in hopes that it will loosen up.

Gave my engine a once over. Checked the point gap, my distributor cap was cracked and the rotor was trashed. Luckily I had spares. Went to check the timing, my pretty shiny chrome clamp was stripped. So there I go pulling the distributor to put the original clamp back on. Good news is, I was able to getting running good again.

ZARJDR Wed Dec 02, 2009 6:15 pm

Pulled one of the 44IDF carbs today, have been unsuccessful in getting the carbs to synch. One cylinder always wanted to run fast, discovered that the progression holes on one side were partially exposed. After looking at it real close it appears the spindle is twisted. Time to disassemble it yet again, vise up the spindle and apply a little TORQUE!

midtravelmidengine Wed Dec 02, 2009 7:24 pm

i cut off the link pin steering arm from the spindle and welded on a new one to hopfully eliminate a little bump steer that i had. i also plan on fabbing custom exhaust, straitening the rear five link hubs that i bent last trip out, gusseting the front of the frame where we have a reoccuring crack, and tunning the motor, its running a bit rich.
