I ordered a new 14 circuit wiring harness 97 bucks! whoot whoot!
I stripped the rats nest the PO called a wiring job, I also dropped the floor to replace the rubber between the frame and flooring. I also am takng this time to replace the extra LONG bolts that were hanging down below the frame. I'm going to replace them with carriage bolts so I don't get hung up anymore...
I'm also looking for motorcycle controls (switches).....
more fun to come....... |

Ebaymotors
I've looked high and low for a (mostly) complete kit. I did not want to pay for all the switches or tons of connectors. I want to use sealed switches and heat shrink connectors instead of the basic parts that come in the "complete" kits.
Here is his info:

| I got gauges today! tach, water, amp, oil. I'm working on a new dash layout and fabbing a fiberglass electrical box (for the fuse block, radio and alarm brain). |

Some pics, to prove it really happened
I rebuilt the hydro clutch system front to back. Layed out the gauge setup, and started to design the dash. The box look WILL NOT STAY! I'm also creating a waterproof space behind the dash for the fuse block ect...
I'm thinking about covering the dash in the same material I used on the side bar padding. The plywood you see (above the tank) is a head rest that will be covered as well.

the deer hunters have turned off their feeders and left for the year leaving all those lil piggies hungry. my son(PJ) and i just finished our third trap and will be setting it when the flood waters from the last rain storm go down. oh yeah, i did put a set of NGK plugs in the truggy and it seems to run better than the bosch plugs did.

^ Nice trap Mmmm... Pork sasuage...
Anyway, I ordered motorcycle controls today and the wiring harness came. I installed the fuse block in an ammo box and started sleaving stainless braiding over some split loom (it has to look good you know). :D Pics will follow... Hmm, should I just start a build thread??? |

I don't like any of the rear bumpers for sale, so I made my own. A buddy and me built it so that it would protect the engine without sacrificing a lot of ground clearance. I can also remove it without pulling the bolts from the frame horn.

Not exactly my VW, but it'll help with other tasks on my to-do list:
I still hafta add a piece of expanded metal to the bottom to hold other stuff, and paint it, but I'll get there eventually. Now I have some work to do on my new trailing arms. |
