| As far as I know, the only commercially available supercharger kit is from DLI. Dick Landy Industries http://www.dicklandy.com/Products/index.htm However, I would not get my hopes up on getting one from them! I have had a deposit down with them since January, and still no supercharger. Jake Raby http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=6558 recently had one listed for sale, however it looks like he pulled the listing. You might PM him just to see. |

Looks like an MC110 which is a longer version than the MC80 I have.
I am waiting for the DLI kit which uses an Eaton custom made for DLI by Magnuson which is very similar to the old MC80, but has twisted lobes with abraded coating. But after waiting for almost a year, I am getting to the point that I might take a stab at installing the MC80.
I do not have a supercharger on mine yet, however I have set up for 8 to 1 compression. After discussion with Chris at Engle, I have a custom ground FK10 / FK87 on 114 degree centers. |

Thanks for the pic,s this is something I have been thinking of for a while, I was considering Nitros but the look of a supercharger or a turbo is outstanding on a VW motor, You would not believe the people who crawl all over this thing at the pulls and yes its been 1st the past 3 years and won all 3 classes 3 years in a row not bad for a EMPI_BUGPACK_JC WHITNEY or whatever else is threw in it. |

Nice work puller108.
Just don't understand the shorts, t-shirt and helmet combination....... 8)
With that engine right in front of my shins, I'd be wearing a firesuit. |

Hi I was doing some testing after the pull, I had a few sets of tires I was trying and yes normally I do, but not to worry the rev limiter is set at 9000, I have only took out a couple of motors the last 3 years and let me tell ya its ugly when they do come apart. Mark |

So engines don't explode or catch fire during test pulls...........
What's your secret?
BTW I'm not really worried as I can't get hurt by your engine exploding while in front of this monitor..........
There are some guys south of here that use old Autocraft midget engines in pulling tractors, pretty cool..... 8)
What are you using for a transmission?
Direct drive perhaps? |

I am using a vw trans IRS I flipped the ring gear, turned down the flange for the axel put a #60 Sproket on it welded it on and run a double chain one on each side to an open axel with another gear on it and a sproket on each axel shaft works great I just built a new tractor for my son its a artic cat tripple all set up only 3 passes on it so far working out the bugs, all my tractors I have hand made about the only thing stock that has not been cut and welded is the hood-grill puller 108 |
