I'm Brandon, 31 and live in the Sugarhouse area with my girlfriend.

We have an '83 Westy, Auto with 180K. Her name is Rose after the character my girlfriend played in her last musical.

I know from where I live there are 2 other Westy's with in 2 miles of my place. One just down the street from me... and the other is just a few blocks away.

Thinking of going to Mystic Hot Springs in Rose the weekend after the Thanksgiving holiday.

I'm Erik and I have a Vanagon problem.

85 2WD Westy Tiico conversion dark brown w/ hand-painted filigree pinstripes from the late '80s (definitely this van's coup de grace).

I'm right up on top of Capitol Hill, moving to Seattle in January :D / :(

I'm in Sandy with my 84 westy with a suby engine and a 85 passanger with a new sunroof, oh ya and my girlfriend and four dogs.

So Ive seen a few more Vanagon owners around town the last few days/weeks... And I thought I'd hit this topic up again... Any other VW guys in SLC or anywhere in Utah on this site?

Hi, I'm Rich and live in Salt Lake City, 9th & 9th area. I have an '86 Wolfsburg 2wd Weekender, 129k miles, White with Brown interior. Runs great. We bought the Westy new in '86 and it lives in our garage most of the time. Only used for trips so most of the miles are highway (or dirt roads in So. Utah). Never driven in the winter so there is no rust. I have a friend who has a beautiful '91 Syncro Westy and another friend with an '85 Westy. both live within 1/2 mile of me.

Your not by chance friends with the guy whos got that all green Syncro just across from the Smith's on 9th and 9th are ya? That my dream VW here in town... Man, if I ever see a sign in its window... I'll sell my girlfriends daughter to buy it! ;)

Not from Utah, but very close. If you ever try to do a get together in beautiful southern Utah be sure to let the Flagstaff contingent know. There's a half a dozen or so of us here and it's only about 3 hours to the border.

John here. I live in Sugarhouse also. I have a brown 86 Westy with a Ford motor in it. Brandon I think I have seen you van around. I know there are lots of people like us around the area.

not in UT, but in Flagstaff AZ with P-illogic. A bunch of others. If you guys ever did something at Mystic Hotsprings, I know a bunch from FLag woud roll up that way. I have never been there, but it is on my list of places to go.

I'm here in Sugarhouse-Yellow 84 Westy, "Detlef", 120K, 2nd owner, & I make the infamous "BZ Shelf" for your westy campers. Lotsa vanagons in my neck of the woods.

Have time/gas will camp- San Rafael Swell last week.

hey jim here in RS Wyoming. be a good time to see some other vans. Got a 91 syncro...got to take the tranny out for a new bell. Hopefully be ready by summer.

Im with topbud....def on a list of must see things would bring my westy up there from flagstaff...i think there are a good 50 or more here...this is a blessed town for sure!
