Hi all and thank you for your input.
Heres my scenario (on my sons bus).
He has a 63 Kombi.
It is presently recieving CSP disc brakes (front) and narrowed 2" adjustable beam.
He wants to paint up and use his NOS 15" steel rims with chromie hubs.
So...we are going to lower the back down a notch or two and adjust the front down accordingly to suit. A slight lowering but enough to achieve the effect he wants.
Finally, my question is which tire size (& brand) can we use 185 or 175 or 165 /55R15 to give an even more lowered effect but still large enough to fill the wheel well appropriately (we personally hate the look when the tire is too small), not rub or bottom out and still be VERY safe.
Thank you. :D

The safest/easiest way is to buy your tires Local! Your local Tire Shop will mount up 2-3 different sizes to try on before buying.
