I am having a hard time finding an off road tire for my 14 inch tires on my buggy. I would like something to fit a stock IRS with a beefy looking tread.
225 75 14 maybe? |

What IRS tranny do you have? If it's a late model one with the 3.875:1 R+P, you might not want to go very tall past stock in tire height.
I haven't personally seen any such sizes in years. My Baja had, I think, 235/75R14 on the back of it when I got it in 1990. Never found anything close when I went to replace them. I tried some 7.0X14 tires from a farm co-op, but that tread was so incredibly aggressive that the tires, combined with my swingaxle rear end, made the car wander way too much on the road to be safe. So I took those off. This was long before I was on the internet to search for other options though. I soon switched to 15x8" rims in the back and got rid of the adapters that were there.
But I still have the 14x6" rims w/adapters on the front of my baja. I found that they do sell 195/75R14 offroad tires, (which works out very close to stock tire height, by the way) I "almost" bought Peerless Force Fours in that size the last time I put tires on the front of that car. I think I didn't because I didn't have enough cash onhand, so I went with passenger tires in that size instead. Next time I'll get them though, if they are still available that is. I run 215/75R15s Force Fours on the back.
Anyway, I just looked, and Peerless still does list the 195/74R14 Force Four.
I also looked at Tirerack.com, and found they have a few bigger 14" rims for sale, like this offroad 27X8.5R14

As well as this 205/70R14

plus a 215/75R14

And this 225/75R14
