I have a 1989 Caravelle GL 2.1 dj 7 seater in auto.
It starts fine, but runs as though it is missing on several pots, flat spotting on all over the place.
This comes and goes over time. Over the past four yeras I have replaced the dist. cap and rotar arm (twice), the plugs (many times), the airflow meter, the coil, the fuel pressure regulator (twice), the fuel pump twice, various censors, fuel filters (many times) and had the injectors cleaned.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Ah yes, almost forgot -I have also replaced the plug leads, cleaned out the fuel tank and even filter the fuel before it reaches the fuel pump.
This all appeared to start after a batch of dirty fuel, although it has always seemed to have a flat spot.

PS I have a '61 bug that I now wish to concentrate on restoring. It is the one with the 50/50 tail lights that only appeared on Aussie and Italian bugs for a short time. |
