| We have a 93 jetta and it does not want to start first thing in the morning. It starts so hard that its even run the battery down a couple of times. Once you get it started it runs and starts fine the rest of the day. Someone thought it might be a coil going bad. I had got one off of my uncles gulf, and it did not seem to help. I even soaked it down with water one day and nothing the car kept on running. Someone also told me it could possible be the temp sensor for the computer and sometimes if you unplug it and the cars starts right up it means that it is bad, that didn't work either but it still could be bad, i guess. If anyone has any ideas please pass them this way, sure could use the help. |

| I don't have a jetta, but it sounds to me like it could be a cold start injector. Some FI cars have a seperate circuit for idle and for cold starts ( sort of like a choke on carbs) I do not know if your model has either of these, but you might want to check. |
