http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SWF-SWITCH-PORSCHE-...06.c0.m245
Note in the last pic is 2 position switch... what is it for??? is an accesory for VW (Oval) Split, as says the seller in the title? Thanks! |

There is not enough info to tell if it is a 2 or 3 position switch. No doubt Alex will jump on here and clarify it.
There were 2 position switches available, which replaced the foot high beam switch, and there were other switches that were used as a high beem flasher. Also Becker and Blaupunkt used them for the Becker Mexico and the Blaupunkt Köln radios, which both had a station seeking function, and this switch was used to seek the next station. |

| Thanks for the answer! I didnīt know that about the radios... I`m pretty sure is 2 position switch because I had one of these, bought in Cyprus to a guy called Andreu. I donīt know what happen with my key, but I remember it was black, euro-style mounting... and 2 points. The seller said it was a replacement for the foot swith, but I couldnīt never install it in my car (thereīs no place in the column) and I never saw this switch in any catalogue. This piece was (and still is) a enigma for me... :? |

| This for sure is an 3 position switch. Just an aftermarket item for any kind of direktion indicators. |

Well... I guess I`m lucky... after searching a lot I finally found the switch :D!:
Not doubt it is two position for headlights... I remember the seller, (as like the Ebay advertise) only said is for Oval Split and 356. I bought it 2 or 3 years ago, when I had a 51. As you can see, I never used the part īcause I doubt if itīs really a original accesory for VW. What do you think? |

Oh, yes you are right, two position. Well, not much VW related anyway. |

| I guess some part of this quiz is closed... the Ebay seller said his ad about a semaphore switch. But my 2 position SWF is still a mistery... |
