I recently picked up a 356 hood and engine lid,but Im unsure of year,coupe,or cabrio.Its a little confusing :oops: Any help would be appreciated!THANKS! PS,The hood of course has some damage underneath,and the "frame" was rewelded to the skin..

That's a coupe decklid because the hinges mount on the inner tray. Cab hinges mounted farther to the sides.
I'm pretty sure it's 1955 or earlier (Pre A) because the inner tray is flat. The later A's have a bubble dome in the inner tray but I'm not sure when the change came. |

Yup! Tony's right. I just checked my '55, that's a Pre-A deck lid. Take a look towards the top of the rain tray, the last couple of numbers from the VIN will be stamped into it.
