| Just came down to your neck of the woods this weekend. Bought an 84 GTI and took the wife and kids down to do a whirlwind tour and drive back home. 1200 miles in 2 1/2 days. Not my brightest idea so far!!! I have to say that you live in the most beautiful part of the country that I have ever visited. Wish we would have had more time, I would have loved to stop by and say hello. By the way, (and I say this coming from Kentucky) the people in North Carolina are the friendliest I have come across in some time. One day we will be back down, hopefully driving the Thing for a decent vacation. :) |

Glad to hear you had a good time in the area. Asheville and WNC has changed a lot in the last few years, but it still retains much of it's charms.
Enjoy the GTI! Yeeha :) |

One good thing about Asheville: great twisty roads.
I just took a '96 GTI that was traded in for a "test flog". Oh my. I only got it sideways once ;) |
