Hello all,
Need help finding the dash "Brake warning Light" assembly that goes in the dash by the Cig-Lighter for a 73' THING.
Mine had a "melt down", while I was working on the bad ground for the CIG-lighter, I noticed a wire was off of this brake warning light,
of which it has 4 wire posts on this one, it had only worked once since getting the THING a few weeks ago. When I had the emergency brake up.
It looked liked the wire had come off of the warning light so I re-attached it. I believe it was a blue one, and this light does have 4 posts (heard some only have 3).
Well, when I started the THING to pull it up on the ramps, Smoke rolled out of the dash, and it was the "Brake warning light", the side melted out of it. Obviously it was unhooked for a reason, shame I found out this way.
Well, I cant seem to locate one on any web page I've checked.
The THING shop had the replacement lens, but not the light socket itself, and I've found replacement bulbs, but no replacement socket/assembly and I've run out of ideas.
Hope somebody out there in THING land has a suggestion, you all have been wonderful with the help I've needed so far.

| I might have a good used socket. Is your lens in good shape? It's hard to find good lenses as the sun has normally done a job on the lens. Things do have the 4 pole socket. |
