so I am very close to having a complete, correct set of fog lights for my 66 Type 34 Ghia. She came with unfortunate aftermarket ones wedged in place with steel wool and sad rubber filler bits, but due to the much appreciated vending activities of Larry Edson and BerT3, I'm nearly there.
First, a question: does anyone know of any other vintage car that used this Hella bulbholder? It looks like it was engineered to hold an additional bulb too, which gave me hope there was another vintage car I could look to as a source for the missing bail, which is what I really need.
You can see the bail in question on the right of the picture.
I also was able to order 12V bulbs to fit it, so anyone needing them can PM me (minimum order was 10, so I have extra).
And I'm having trouble cutting the beetle headlight keeper springs down to size, so hoping for alternative ideas.
The design of these bastards is quite extraordinary. |
