I'm looking for bj spindles but all I can find is the ones blindchicken racings makes and to me they look a lil to gnarly. Also I did a search and one guy had problems with the lower trailing arm rubbing the spindle. so anyway where can I buy spindles?

I found two places in the search BCR and Ratech but wasn't able to find a link to them.

Thanks for any info!

check out the Pacific Customs ad in the new Hot VW's magazine [Dec 09]
They have a set of raised B/J spindles listed in the new products section, The price looks good [$250.00] they say they have 3 1/2" lift, chromoly spindle stub and no speedo hole so you have to work out something to drive your speedometer. I would like to try a set but I dont know how to get the rear to match the front.

I just looked at the ones Pacific Custom has listed, they are fabricated not forged but they don't look too bad and for the price they might be a good deal.

Those are Tweeds

this is from tweeds, $250. i don't think that they're DOT approved, as if it matters.

but if you want something done, do it well, and that's why i'd suggest finding og thing spindles--all stock with suspension lift--even if you spend more $$. unless, of course, you are looking for more strength, then someone might comment as to how much stronger aftermarket spindles are.

Thing spindles where raised from the factory? Wow never knew that!

I'll keep an eye out for some but I think the Tweed set is what I'm looking for.

Thanks again!

I just put a set of tweed's on and they are killer. My only thing is that it has no speedo hole but you can drill them out or get a modern electronic speedo or a GPS.

And the bonus with Tweeds is that you get an extra .5 inch of lift over the Thing spindles. They're also cheaper and readily available. AND, you can get the caliper bracket to run disc brakes, making it easier (and cheaper) to put disc brakes on them.

The raised spindles at kustom1warehouse.net have the speedo hole drilled. This bug is only lifted with spindles. No raised beam or lift kit. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=809264 , [/url]
