Stock would be 32PDSIT-2 or -3. (left and right.)
If the engine is stock, the stock carbs are all the engine needs. |

| 32/34s are stock for late-model Buses. They are very similar to Type 3 carbs. |

based on my car's history, 32/34 PDSI carbs were retrofit to Type 3's in the later 70's and 80's, possibly even by dealers. Does your air cleaner look a little different than stock and accept a paper filter?
Most people don't even realize that they don't have stock 32 PDSITs because these carbs look so much like the original.
My Ghia seems to run out of steam at higher speed which I am blaming the carbs for, and will replace them with 32 PDSITs when I'm through with the exhaust project. |

| I've actually got a set of those 32/34 PDSITs here. The biggest difference from them and my t-3 version 32 PDSITs is that there's no bridge for the air cleaner screw/wing nut. Other than that, they look pretty similar. Also the carb linkage is slightly different, but then that could be because they're set up for a bus t-4 engine. Just so you know, the rebuild kits are the same. |
