| A friend is wanting me to build him a mini dragster for next season. Hes explain the Chassie will be a built 165 " WB chromemolly dragster. And to be powered by a built Type 4 turbo running on aviation fuel. Its called 1.1.4 100/130 Portmanteau fuel,that is some kind of AV fuel he can get thought the airport were he works. Well what ever, its over my head, Im not into fuels. But here is what maybe a little weird. He is wanting me to connect and mount the motor to a automatic trans. So the car will more consistant. But he said he did some research and claim the Porsche or the VW automatics are not go for dragin. So with that said, I ask what trans. then. Hes says something in the line of a GM powerglide. Hes not a mechanic just a computer freak. So it leaves me thinking about the whole deal. And in my thoughts I figure how nice it would be to throw it at you guys. I have seen lots of american made drag cars with poweglides, but not VW /Porsche powered. Anyone got any thoughts.[/list] |
