| I know this topic has been discusted to death, but I am trying to find the name of a moisture and sound insulation brand. It has a spray on and a lay down application. It is similar to dinamat, but not the same. Any help would be great............thanks......... |

Capt.
Look in the upper right corner and click on all banner ads, go to second skin and browse around. They have all kinds of great material there to suit every possible need you may have. I am currently using spectrum as a sound deadener and undercoating. Also damp pro on the interior.
It all depends on how quiet you want your rig and how much$$$$$$ you want to spend

Thanks for the info I am looking into that for my pans and firewall. Does it do a good job of keeping moisture out? Is it quiet? Can I paint over it or will I need to? Thanks for all the info This is my first project and I want to do it right.
P.S. Capt Buglstien is the name of my 73 Baja. He is the account holder I just do the typing... |

Glad to hear that Second Skin is the first name that is mentioned when sound deadening and insulation is asked about on the samba!

I looked into all that stuff for my car, I am making a 67 driveable, and could not justify spending $200 on the dynamat stuff, so I found this:
http://www.5min.com/Video/How-to-Install-Sound-Dea...--60799136
basically can do a thicker deadner, on the entire inside of the car for $50
this place seemed to have the stuff in stock, and for a good price:

just trying to help.
