| When shifting from to second and so long it’s great but when down shifting from third to second it's hard or won't go in and from second to first it will grind. Help |

For myself, I noticed that it wont go into gear also if I am going too fast for those same 2 gears. Learn the Toe-Heel method which will help you with slowing down via the brakes and tranny/engine at the same time. |

Excessive clutch freeplay will cause this.
Low or skanky gear oil too. Have you changed the gear oil anytime this century? |

Pretty radical move, going for the easiest cheapest fix first... :D |

Ok, to revive this thread,
I have been having the same issue, I find that recently when downshifting, it sometimes feels like it starts to grind. Is it just inexperience (my first stick vehicle) or is something wrong here? I try to shift when I am in the recommended up/down shift ranges and I try to use the toe-heel method. |
