| can anyone hear build boards? a buddy of mine is tinkering with designing a pc tunable setup using the original intake and jets, but using less and more current senors that can be picked up at any parts store locally. |

etching your own pcb is well out of the range of a reasonable idea for most people. If you can get away with it, use and Arduino board or better yet stick with a megasquirt. All the leg work has been done by hundreds of people who have worked out countless issues you would run into by starting from scratch. |
