| i have a 81 caddy with a 1.6 diesel and i have noticed lately that my radiator has had alot of press in it even if it has only been running for a few minutes. i think maybe my head gasket is letting go. any ideas |

| the vw cooling system is pressurized,so the pressure is normal.but,if its excessive pressure the reservoir cap may be bad,as it regulates the pressure in the system.if your head gasket was bad,you'd know it.the coolant would be contaminated,and the motor would run like poo. |

| do u know what the PSI should be cause i fell that is over pressurizing, cause im going to make a tool to check the psi in the cooling system when it is running out of a old cap i have, im going to drill a hole in the top and put a steel valve stem the screws down to it self in it so i can put a tire pressure gauge on it. |
