I guess if you're a cardboard collector they are. If you plan to use them heck no cause once you do. They aren't going to be new old sctock again.

I've picked up a few nos empi bits and haven't paid more than $20 a piece.

My main problem is that I bought these bits because i was going to use them, but now the cardboard collector in me can't bring myself to open the packets!

I especially like the pre 'lee eliminators' packaging!

yes few years ago they would go like hot cakes for those prices
but like the stock market, EMPI values are down.

2-3 years ago was the craze, everyone had to have it, new EMPI collectors popped out of the woodworks, stuff selling for stupid money on ebay and samba

That is when i liquidated all my empi stuff, there ended up being way too many "collectors" and the stuff brought high money.

If those three ads popped up for those prices few years ago they would have been sold withing 5-20 minutes. not anymore, they are not demanding that price anymore

your earlier red packaging brake light is a good item though, the early packages tend to bring more money than the Lee Eliminator stuff

Cheers for the comments Thornton- I am guessing you are one of 'THE' guys in the know- Your (now depleted??) collection is still the envy of many of us mortals....

I guess my question is kind of tongue in cheek because I am fascinated by all of this old VW stuff- I put a load of NOS stuff on my bug back in the nineties and have regretted it ever since- The brake light I bought back then but never fitted, I didn't want to drill my dash! But there were loads around back then so I didn't think anything of it. The dash knobs I bought not long ago for $10- then when they arrived decided I couldn't bring myself to open the pack- I guess they will end up in my display case with the other stuff I can't bring myself to use and don't really want to let go!

just don't tell the wife!!!
