New entertainment is coming to the Ozarks!
We just had the "Eagles" in concert here Thursday night! The "Eagles" here in Springfield,Missouri.......what gives?
So I did some investigation and this is what I found out.
Branson Missouri the Family Entertainment Center of the mid-west is beginning to change its formate. It seems that the Country Western scene is dieing out along with the older crowd. The "Baby Boomer's" are pressuring for new entertainment, the type of entrainment they remember and enjoyed as young people. And the bands / groups of the 70s and 80s are reaching the same age as most "Baby Boomers" and they are getting tired of traveling, living out of Hotels, Buses and the like. They are wanting to establish themselves in a nightly or weekend shows that after they can drive home and live a somewhat normal life.
Branson offers such a life style and will be pressing for more and more and this type of entertainment in the near future. In the last year we have had "ZZ Top" "Moody Blues" "Little River Band" "Kansas" (didn't know they were still around) and now the "Eagles".
If this is the gospel I can't wait as I am sick and tired of "Dolly Parton" "Glen Cambel" "The Linnen Sisters" and the same old crap!
Anyway thought you'd like to know as it is really a great little city and close to many fine fishing / camping / boating lakes and relatively cheap to live here. |

| I absolutely cannot stand Branson. They should convert it to heavy metal shows, raves and laser tag places... then it would be fun. |

Seen BOSTON a few years back when they came to Branson. That was before Brad Delp died. That was a cool concert....
I've heard of a few good bands playing there. Its nice to have a change from "county tonite"... |

| Branson has a new "Dinner River Boat" thats pretty cool! Its located right off the new Branson Landing right next to the new Hilton Hotel which is absolutely spectacular! So....walk over to the boat, have dinner and a show, walk back to the landing, do some shopping and when done walk back to the Hilton, take a swim and hit the hay! |
