Hey all! Thought I'd post a pic of one of my crestlines that I spent a little time "prettying" up after I picked them up from the blaster. Don't wanna go "player" shiny with them.

IMO... If it's a OG vintage wheel it should wear some of the battle scars of being 40+ years old... If there too shiny they look to new!! That crestline looks great!! Now let's see some pics of them mounted and driving down the road!!

They were painstakingly polished. Sanded, then sanded again, then 400, 800 grit. Let the polishing compound do the work.

That much lip on the front makes it look bizarre. Definitely not bad, just beefy and definitely a change from the "normal" look of skinny fronts fat rears.

Super clean look with these wheels though

If those are the wheels I sold him, they are in fact Cal Parts.

About 100% sure they are Cal-Parts. The valve stem DIRECTLY in front of a lug bolt is a dead giveaway. Keep all of the mounting hardware as it is kinda odd.
Folks with original BRM's and Cal-Parts know this fact all too well.
There are at least two different styles of Cal-Parts wheels. The valve stem is either closer or further away from a lug bolt . The one that has the "Close" valve stem has to have the lug nut removed to fill tire with air. Your wheel center caps are aluminum and will clean up perfect. May want to plan on taping new threads for the center caps.
Also Cal-Parts have to be fitted to some disc brake set ups because of the small opening in wheel center on backside. The offset to the outside separates the boys from the men. Its a real pain to use Cal-Parts on the front. After all I think they are Dune Buggy Wheels. My opinion on Cal-Parts is that they are the perfect REAR wheels for a nostalgic drag car. :D

Interesting information, thanks a lot. I observed that all wheels had the same offset.

Here are the valve stem location differences on Cal-Parts Wheels. One is close to lug hole and the other is far away.
