My trans is whining at low rpms that is very noticeable in first gear (It sounds like going in reverse). In second gear it is barely noticeable. The noise is non-existent in 3rd and 4th gears. This is a newly rebuilt Syncro transmission with locking rear differential. Could my larger wheel/tire setup (225/70/16) be causing the noise? |

or a less than perfect bearing on the 1st gear end of the stack. As you engage higher gears, most of the reaction pressure moves to the other end.
