just posting pictures of my superbeetle i installed one of AJ simms turbo kits on, and recently just added snow performances Boost Cooler. they ended up sending me the wrong size injection jets, so right now its just for looks but on 15lbs and 110 ocate, she runs realllly good!

also had a buddy of mine "practice" on my car with some pinstriping, let me know what you think
heres what 172 HP looks like

very cool- what are the engine specs- I also own one of aj's kits and love it- you do need to get that turbo coated though. Also dig the pinstriping

1835- mofoco 50 series heads, c35 cam, 1.25 rockers, 8.5:1 compression ratio. 15lbs of boost.

and i know, ive been meaning to clean it all up but i dont want to take it all apart its too much fun to drive it! :)

I hear you there- my first turbo kit the turbo was not coated (baja bug) didnt take long for it to rust. When it is time for engine freshen up- send it in. Sounds like fun.

Cool stuff 8)

Is that 172 measured at the wheels? What's your timing on 110 at 15 psi?

Why so little timing? 20 is more than enough 22 even is great. I run 22* at 20 lbs on 95 octane all day.

Very nice indeed! Keep us posted on how it's running. Seems most people just bash AJ Sims. It'd be nice to hear something positive about him once in a while.

well i can only run 93 octane, thats the highest we got at the pump here in FL. but i agree, 20 degrees is very nice thats what im running right now on 15lbs of boost....and let me say she runs VERY good

runnin soo good i missed a shift sunday night and over-revved the motor to about 6,500 and the #1 intake valve keepers decided to spit out the retainer  VERY LUCKILY i shut it off just in time and didnt damage the valve so i just need the tool to install the reatiner n keepers while the engine is still in the car. i already ordered and recieved the keeprs and retainers from Mofoco.

as far as the turbo kit goes, i love it,. it was a P.I.T.A. to install but once i got it running and dialed in it runs awesome. i got a big turbine wheel (.86 a/r) and a c35 cam, so it dosent come on boost ans hit hard til about 3,000-3,500 rpm. but once its on boost its a monster. and i love it. and i dont drive the car lightly and the turbo and carb and header is very well put together and survives my abuse haha.
