I'm going nuts trying to figure out what is attached to these pipes? All I have is the Idiot book (Bentley was just ordered last night). The pipes are the same on each side running on top of the valve heads. Do the pipes connect to one another? A damper? Fresh air pipes? I've driven around with nothing connected to them......bad?
And for your viewing pleasure......a dirty fuel filter. Ever see such a fright?

| Those tubes are for the heater mixer boxes. They bring cool air from the elbows, that you don't have with the aftermarket exhaust on your car. I'd plug them with a film canister or something similar, so you don't get exhaust fumes into the car. When (if) you decide to put a stock exhaust back on the car, then you can connect them like they were originally. I know Russ has posted some pics (pages) of the entire stock exhaust system, and it's components in a few other threads. You might want to look at them, so you can get an idea of what they look like, and how it all goes together. I hope this helps. |

I do use these on a regular basis :) . Everett just likes to add more so that the potential reader has a better idea of what he/she is going to read. Or in my other case erasing too many question marks...like tdc???????? Why I think he even capitalized it for me. :D
Funny, last night when I was ordering my Bentley manual from books4 cars I wanted to put Mike Fisher in the spot when it asked me where I heard about their site. |
