I have a 4in narrowed beam. the offset on my wheels make it seem like a 2 in beam, therefore causing me to rub my front fenders. I am running a 175/55 on a 15x5.5 rim.

I was going to try 135's first, then eventually buy a randar type wheel.

what do you think? is a 135 going to be too tall? is a 15x5.5 too wide for a 135? Or should I just buy new rims?

Oh, and I do not want to raise it up or buy a 6in beam 8)

-check out the gallery for a close up of the wheels

135s are an inch taller than 175/55s. and 135s should fit fine on a 135

this site will help you compare your current tires to 135s...
http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible_pg2.html

keep in mind that by going to 135s you will be losing 22% of the width from 175s, thats a lot less traction

That site you listed doesn't do tire comparisons down to 135's .

But this site I just found tonight does

yah i know i just figured out the distane between 155 and 145 and applied that to 135s

that site you linked has a good calculator, but the other site has a lot of info that helps when looking to do anything related to wheels

there a section where you can compare how much a wheel will stick out depending of the offset of the wheel and tire width... you may want to play around with that, it would help you figure out which wheels youd needa run to get that "4 inch beam look" back
