what kind of tubing goes on those things, the ones that run from the exhaust system to the boxes under the rear seat. are they steel or what? cause my car doesn't have them. i did search the forum for pics or info and just found a bunch of stuff about how crappy everyone feels the aftermarket exhaust systems are. i have a nos german muffler on my car, so i'll leave it alone, but i want to put those tubes on there, so if someone can tell me if i have to use a steel pipe or what, or has a link to the pics so i can just check that out let me know.
thanks |

| It's a cardboard/foil tube constructed like the Bug air cleaner pre-heat tubes, but slightly larger diameter. Don't try to use the Bug tubes, they will split. Either look for an American equivalent or find a vendor who stocks the VW part (311 255 291A). Small Car can get them (http://www.smallcarperformance.us/); not sure if they ship (SoCal), but ask them. |
