I'm putting my car away this winter and was wondering what major project I should do to it while it's off the road. I have about $400 canadian. I wanted a paint job but the budjet wont allow it. I did have the engine rebuilt, it has a roof rack and a small sound system.
so what major project should i do to it over the winter? I was thinking about sleep extenders from the ddb, however i would like some more Ideas to get my head turning.
thanks, dave. |

With how pathetic the American dollar is, wouldn't $400 Canadian be something like $800 USA? :x |

Do the beam, but kick it up a notch and paint the trans too.

| Cheap but a bit of labor: replace your rear trailing arm and/or spring plate bushings and set the ride height where you want it. Reset the front torsino bars and check the beam bearings while youa re at it. Maybe reboot the ball joints, tie rods, adjust/replace the steering box. |

He's used to the wet winters in the great PNW. He'll adjust to California "winters" shortly, I'm sure. |

Where do you get the boots? I have very little left on any of them, so I keep packing them. I also have movement in the vertical direction; hold at 12 and 6, and get about three inches of play. On top of that, the shock oil is leaking. I am wondering if all this is why my front end squeaks, and groans, especially bumps or dips. On the freeway, I feel as if I am herding soft cheese. Takes about an inch or two to move the auto a bit. |

I am going to move this, since it seems like the question I asked cannot be answered in this one. |
