I have a 62 356 B with solex carbs. The problem is popping through the carbs. After the engine warms up the idle is good and acceleration is good but at constant speed the carbs pop a lot. I think the carbs are worn. If I spray carb cleaner at the throttle shaft on one carb the RPMs go up but if I do the same thing on the other carb the RPMs go down. Either way it looks like they are sucking air through the shafts. I would appreciate any feedback before I spend for the rebuilds. Also does anybody have any experience with rebuilt carbs from NLA or Stoddard or any others?
thanks

If you want to Know if they are correct, Send them to me and I will run them on a test engine..

I just fixed a set of 40 p11s for Jake Raby.. he can fix them too, but did not have the time and sent them to us..

I rebuild 400+ carb a year and can tell if they are ok..

cost? $150.. if I just run and tune them.. any more then that I would Quote the price.

Call me if I can help.

Art is the man... The week after those carbs were preped the car they were bolted to ran perfectly and won it's class as well as 3rd overall at an SCCA event..

It also set a new track record.

All my carbs go to Art- period.
