good power and easy to tune? Hmmm

well, you could go with some weber ICT. they make them with single port manifolds.
or you could talk to keifernet about a rebuilt GERMAN solex 30 pict.

whatever you do DO NOT buy a new, stock aftermaket carb. they are junk.

Well in that case, a 34PICT 3 german solex is what would have come on a 1600 dp from the factory.

i have a solex 34 single and I dont know how its going to work on my bus the throttle cable doesnt match up or i am missing somthing. I have nothing for it except the carb and the runners. however it looks like it was hardly used very clean inside and the outside. I am pretty sure its not one of those crappy ones lol.

The answer to "what would be a good carb" is a German carb rebuilt by keifernet.

I have been running a new 34 pict 3 carb from MOFOCO and its been working good for me. I went from the 30/31 solex (had adapter plate) to this and been working good. I don't know know the difference between this and the german one, so I can't comment on that.
