How do I tell if I have broken leaf springs without taking the front beam apart?
I have noticed my 66 westy seems to sit a bit low... and with three people in it it is basically riding on the front suspension stops. Could I have broken springs?
also....I have been told that 68 and later front ends use the same basic spring set as 67 and back I have never pulled a later front end apart. are the springs themselves interchangeable?
If someone could post a picture of there front end trailing arm showing it's position on a good stock 66-67 front end with the full weight of the bus on the beam that may be a help in looking at my own beam and determining if it sits to low because of broken springs.
thanks |
