I would go read the vendor feedback forums, he can be fast or very slow. You takes your chance. :?

The best form of communication today is to still call on the old fashoned tellephone.

bugninva Tue Nov 18, 2008 6:36 am

not when they don't answer or don't take calls...

It's best to phone AJ, as he gets busy...mine took about two months to arrive. I'm running his 94 slip-ins in my 2332 cc (former 2017 cc), so far so good :)

VdanielW Tue Nov 18, 2008 6:44 pm

phone him- he now is cutting these in house and can make them for you very quickly.

A.J.Sims Tue Nov 18, 2008 8:09 pm

Sorry i do not have any e-mails from you!
We have them in stock now and if for any reason we can cut them within a week or so unless I’m out of the shop like last week. True the best way to order any part from our company is to give us a call as there are times i will not get to my e-mails for a week or so! And yes you will not get me on the phone as i am probably talking to a customer on the other line or i like to also work at times and cannot talk until I’m all done, or i might get people posting something negative :?
It’s nice to see some fans still holding on to things!!!
I like that we do more repeat orders than new and average over 5,000 orders a year yet we have 5 or so that try their hardest to post as much negative postings about a shop owner as if I’m the only one doing it all!!!One thing to keep in mind every time someone post a link to or talk about the byre feed back section, we get more new orders and help more people!!! When these new customers call they start off by saying "yea looks like some people need a life" or “what’s their problem”!!!! I guess the smart ones can read past the BS!
some info about our slip-in's piston sets that we do and others do not!
http://www.lowbugget.com/pistonpage.html
and our std piston sets:
http://www.lowbugget.com/Mahle_Piston__Cylinder.html
something we now offer in house:
True-up your barrels. Most barrels will require them to be turned if you want them to be perfect. New kits are OK out of the box for most standards. 90% of engine builders do not check there barrels for out of round or if they are tapered from top to bottom. We can check this for you and machine them true with-in .0005” from top to bottom if you like. We can also size your barrel for use with aftermarket pistons like Wiseco and other brands.

I know some will flip out that I responded to this as I like to stay out of the he said she said bull crap that makes its way to these forums all the time. I wish there was a “negative/positive” meter next to each members names so people would respect or expect cretin types of responses from cretin people on public forums!!! Now that would be cool for most but not all!!

:D

AJ seems defensive... AJ, there was no negativity in this thread, except in your post... what gives?

Type 5 Joe Tue Nov 18, 2008 9:38 pm

A.J. I think the reason some people act this way towards you is your faliure to address the motor problems in the feedback section.

The pictures in there show extreme shoddy work performed in your shop.

The threads speak for themselfs, and you have not spoke for yourself.

Time frames and quality....Go ahead and respond. I doubt you will.

A.J is a friend of mine and I've been in his shop. Trust me, he doe's not do shoddy work....
You guy's should back off. ! He is one busy mofo...
All you have to do is call a few times. He will get to you...

I always have time to answer the phone at my place of business during business hours.
Plain business sense
