The show was amazing and the place was packed. The light show was outstanding and at some times it was overwhelming. I could feel the heat of the pyro show in the back of the Tallahassee Civic Center! I heard the light show is over a million dollars alone!

Back in the 80’s I took guitar lessons from a guy that taught one of the guys from Savatage. I always wondered what happened to them now I know. They started the Trans-Siberian. Pretty brilliant to come up with this show and continue to do what you love (Hair Metal) while infusing Christmas/Winter music.

The Violinist is a hottie and this was like going to a Bon Jovi or some other type of arena rock show from the 80's with a modern light show. Kids really loved it!

The 1st half was more like a Christmas story rock opera, but the second half was winter music. I definitely recommend it to anyone...

And this is one of their songs:

A guy about 2 miles from Citrus Hills Fl. set up this Christmas display with their music. The crowds were so big the city made him turn it off....They let him set it up in their park and it's an annual thing now.

My Dads entered into a raffle to go see them. He said if he wins he'll give the tickets to me and 1 other. Unfortunetly the show is almost 1 - 1.5 hours away so I'm glad to hear that it'll be worth the drive if we win!!

Meh. I went and saw them a few years ago when they came to Syracuse. I'm glad I didn't pay for the tickets. The show went on....and on.....and on. The first hour was pretty good but as it dragged on and on I became less and less interested. Ended up leaving early when I couldn't take one second more. I would never go see them again.

I've seen them a couple times. It's always a really good show. If this semester wasn't so busy, I'd like to see them again this year, but I have no spare time.

I just saw them Friday night in Tampa. The show was incredible just like the previous two times I have seen them. I think this year was bigger with more lights and lazers. It is long, almost 3 hours but well worth every minute.

My wife won tickets on a local radio show for the show on the 31st here in Okc. I'm looking forward to it more now.

savatage? as in the 'hall of the mountain king'????? lol i never knew! maybe they will do mountain king as an encore.....

Savatage broke up because some fuck head drunk driver killed Chris Oliva (lead guitarist). They never reformed though a few years back I did see them @ a kinda reunion concert celebrating the 10 year mark of his death. They had Street fill in for Chris.

ok went to the TSO show last night at the MGM here in vegas and it was great .
it got a little slow towards the end of the story part and some people started leaving but the second part of the show is probably the best so make sure you stay for that :)

Which one?

The arrangements seem very formulaic.
Call me a cynic, but any "group" that can run two simultaneous tour groups performing the same material is just a bit too contrived form my taste.
Google "trans siberian orchestra" and you'll find them playing in two cities each night.

If you enjoy it, that's cool, but not my cup of tea.

Saw them on Nov. 21st in San Diego. Except for that one guy who rattled on and on and on and on it was good. I liked how all the girls pranced like horses.

They did do "Hall of the Mountain King" here in Okc. I stayed for the whole thing. The formula is this...Everything is public domain. They didn't have to pay to use any of the songs and didn't really have to write anything either. That said, except for the boring middle 60 min. I liked
it.

My wife and daughter went too. My daughter said she was bored to death.

Yep, my son (10 yr. old) was so bored he went to sleep. But he woke up when the flames and lazer beams started, he thought that much was cool.

If it was the Trans Nigerian orchestra they would travel around trying to scam everyone out of their instruments!
