I would never take Paypal for any part of a vehicle purchase.
I don't want the buyer contesting the purchase afterward as I consider all vehicles sales to be "as-is".
Personal opinion but anyone who is buying a card on a credit card is making a huge mistake. Assuming they are actually carrying that balance for a while and not doing it to get some huge amount of free miles or something similar. |

He could do a cash advance, deposit the money, then do a wire transfer.
I prefer a wire transfer for international sales of large amounts. |

we have recommended customers to pay for cars via credit card before,
this way when the car is shipped its automatically insured against damage for them while on the boat ( by the CC Company )
dealing with the shipper or container service on a claim issue can be a nightmare...
bottom line is you would want to know who your dealing with, when your talking about a large transaction via credit cards or paypal
