i'm gonna put pop outs into my 71 super/ i'm going with cal look rubber/ is it any more or less difficult than ones with the trim...

I've never heard of Cal-look rubber for popouts. :? The aluminum "trim" you see on popouts is the frame that holds the glass. You may be able to scuff it up and paint it black, but you can't get rid of it.

Yeah Imagine you could screw the hinge to the cal look seal but the sumbitch would sag like hell when its open.....

well/ i know that some company came out with repo pop outs but they only came with cal look rubber/ this was within the last two years... i think they sold out that's why i can't find them to see what's up...

If you have your heart set on the "Cal Look", just set the car on FIRE.

Thats just wrong.

In the 80's there was a company that made "frameless" pop-out windows called California pop outs. The glass was frameless and had a rubber seal that wrapped around the pinch weld to the car like safari seals in split window bus.

interesting... I saw a similar thing in hot VW's for the back and side windows of a squareback but I assumed they were one-off. do you know if the company made those too?
