| sooo ive got a flat batterie, no biggie i jumped it from my van and it started up fine, then just down the road she cuts out,( had my lights on) no charge what so ever, so again i get the jump leads out, start her up and she's driving fine....untill i turn on my lights, and she cuts out again.....in theory this means the batteries not charging when being driven right? so its my alternateor not the battrie? or could it be both? any ideas of how to find out would be very helpfull. cheers :) |

Yes, you do have one. I haven't used an alternator before, but I've read on here that some alternators won't charge if this light is not working properly. Possibly your bulb has blown? Or like Michael said, the alternator is at fault.
