OK, well I have taken to trying to fix my AFM for my 88 Westy.
I have read on countless sites that I need a 15 volt 22 microfarrad tantalum capacitor or a 25 volt will work too.
Where the heck can I order one?
I live i the boonies of Colorado Radio Shack is the closest to an electronics store I have and the high school drop out working there just looked at me with a blank look on his face.
Help where can I get 1 maybe 2 for back up??
thanks |

What is the application? Is this a timing capacitor or is it used for filtering?
Do you know if you need a wet or solid tatntalum capacitor?
Do you need a cap with leads on it or are you looking for a surface mount cap?
You had better look at the temperature deratings as well. A 25 volt rated cap is derated to only 15 volts at 125 degrees C
You may actually want to use a 35 V cap so that it is rated for 23 volts at 125 degrees C.
Try Digi-Key.

| When selecting capacitors it is standard practice to select one with 2X the voltage rating it will encounter. As Scott said, apply the derating also. |
