Hi all,
I bought new Hertz 4" speakers (model HCX100) and the passenger speaker went in fine but the drivers door seems to have the power window motor there and wont fit :(

I had to have the power window motor replaced last year.. did they mount it incorrectly or does everyone have endless space behind the passenger speaker and only about 3cm behind the drivers speaker? These speakers are 5cm deep.

is there some plastic directly behind it?

Sounds like they installed an aftermarket window motor.There is one available that has this problem.

With stock motors I have plenty of room for a pair of deep 5 3/4" speakers.

i guess the mechanic went with an aftermarket window regulator....
