There is one nice split restored for showroom in Kenya. The local VW dealer has a RHD -52 made in Wolfsburg with km speedo. I don't know the history of that car, just it has been there since fifties.
I don't believe it's colour has been this bright red, but looking any corner inside or outside, it has a red - or reddish paint.
Pity, I didn't remember to look the chassis number to get that information from VW museum.

| Very nice car. Are you sure it was Wolfsburg-built? If so, it is one of only three known Wolfsburg built pre Oct '52 rhd Splits. |

| Some years ago I got a chance to look better that car. I thought it could be assembled like in RSA, but there wasn't anything different to my own -52 (I mean tags, body numbers etc.) But I didn't understand to write anything down to remember now. Maybe I could try to contact CMC-Kenya. |

Alex,
They used the same style and format in Kenya as they did in the UK.
