Alright... so i stumbled on a 91 vanagon for a pretty good price... and naturally there are some gremlins roaming about, mainly the rear heat exchanger enjoys smoking up the yellow lead that comes into the fan switch up at the dash... can anyone tell me where this lead goes to? It is getting quite cold out here and Id love to have that working...
this is my first vanagon, however ive had 7 vws prior. It is time to order the coveted bently :?

The heater under the rear seat?
It's smoking, or the wire going to it is smoking? |

The Wire up at the dash.. that controls the fans is smoking, its a large solid yellow wire.
the unit itself appears to be fine... no oddities coming from that area. |
