The guy I got my car from uses them in his Super, and his bus...and swears by them. It's not a huge expense, but I wanted to know if anyone else was useing them with positive results, before I spent the $50.

OK guys are these just your opinions or have you actually used them? Frankly I'd like to know as well.

Never used one, but i've heard from a few owners that they had problems and failures in a short time.

Even the Pertronix have a higher failure rate than oem units on new cars.

When they fail, you will be walking home.

Got one on my latest resto, and have had several in the past =ran with out a hitch=Runs great!! I like the Vacuum Model. Allows me to run the stock Dizzy. 8)

That's a good looking engine! Did you use the hot-spark, or pertronix on it?

I have a Pertronix unit on my Ford pickup and a Comp-u-fire on my bug. Haven't had a problem with either, but I do carry a set of points and condenser just in case.

I have a Hot Spark on the motor Pictured. To Be Brutely honest, I will take out the original dizzey and for daily driving Purposes will put in my 009 with the Compufire. The 009 with Compufire gives a smother ignition ,Running motor, as well as better milage and just a hint more Horse Power. When Show time comes around i swap out to the original. works for me! 8)
