Anyone able to stear me in the direction of a good tutorial showing how to remove an engine?
Have a 67 that I want to pull the engine out of but I have never done it before. |

| Search the forums and get yourself a Muir's Idiot manual. Or...go to your auto parts store and a get a rebuild book. Info is free around here. |

I wouldn't advise turning ONE nut or bolt until you have a manual!
If you can't figure out how to remove the engine (a simple task), how are you going to know what to do with it when you have it out?
X2 on Muir's idiot book. This is really a good manual for most of what you will need. The haynes and chilton tend to leave a lot of things out and the bentley can be way over a beginers head.
I would suggest Muier's book and ALWAYS keep it in the trunk of the car. It can help you get going again if something goes wrong and leaves you stranded. |

I have the Muir's idiot book for sure. I just wanted a good color photograph of the process and maybe a video. I'm more of a visual kinda guy and the illustrations in Muirs book are good but I like seeing the real deal.
I think I am going to get the Bug Me videos as well and then just dig in.
Thanks guys.
This is my first resto and first bug so wish me luck. |
