| at what point should I be using a tranny strap over my transmission? do stock style mounts tear/move that much? with a 2literish motor is its going to toss the transmission around lots with only stock mounts? also how 'bad' is vibration from a soild mount set up? |

The Berg mid mount uses stock mounts but it requires tabs to be welded to the frame horns.

| I have solid mounts in my '64 with a 2110. Even with dynamat and a full interior it's LOUD. I wouldn't suggest it for a street car unless you need something to keep you awake on your commute. I'll be swapping the mounts for something more tame the next time I have the engine out. |

Get the Gene Berg mid mount. The straps that go over the top are a very cheesy band-aid fix.
I can't say I feel any more vibration with solid mounts, but they are very loud. |

| Hey Glenn why does your mid mount have additional support that are going forward. I have a GB643 that does not have thoes? I asuming you have a either a 5 speed or a bus tranny? I can't tell from the pic. |
