Now that Mike's car is out, Saturday, Chad and I are going to go for round 3 with his H case. Anyone who wants to join is welcome.
Third and final try. If it doesn't go back together this time, we're having a block burning party in Sean's backyard. Bring marshmallows.
I'd bring the hotdogs if I didn't have my duty weekend...good luck getting it back together guys! |

putting pistons and cylinders back on. had 3 cylinders done. the 4th went on a little crooked. tried to coax it straight, and snapped the last piston ring. imagine. 3 rings on 4 pistons. had safely managed cylinders past 11 of them, and snapped the 12th one. had to order new rings from bus depot. arrived this week, and hopefully will go on this weekend. |

| Yeah, we all said that weeks ago. 83mm rings are hard to come buy. |

New addition to the family-
Surface rust on the body pan and channels are rust free. California car somebody brought to the east coast started and never finished.

| the plan is to remove the auto stick put in the standard I saved from the '73, put everything back on it and drive it. I'll make it pretty later. |

| So... any progress on Chad's Hell case? |

| Chads H case is now fully assembled. It fought the whole way through and for the record, unless someone in the club buys the Hazet 83mm ring compressor, I never want to install 83mm pistons again. |

| Come on.....83's are my favorite, except of course for 77's. I find it easier to put pistons in cylinders before attaching to rods if you don't have the proper ring compressor. |

| never crossed my mind to install them ahead of time, learn something new everyday. |

| That steve is exactly what I did. My 83-87 compressor just wasn't doing the job. I have an autozone ring compressor that is a sleeve with a screw. Compress onto cylinder, put piston on rod. Takes some planning. |

OK, there are certain things that fit on the universal "just because you can doesn't mean that you should" list... This would be one of them. |
