I can't seem to find a replacement "napoleon hat" for my '74 standard. Whats its proper term and where do I get it? I tried BFY and Wolfsburg West but they don't show it in their parts lists. If anyone has a good used one they cut off I'd be interested.
I also need the section under the rear seat that the heat duct comes out of on the drivers side. I need it WITH the strip that the pan bolts to. |

That's referred to as the rear cross member.
Replacing it is great fun.
Come to think of it, I think the "Napoleon Hat" is sometimes referred to as the front cross member.
I've replaced mine too. The replacement panel I had required a some fiddlign around before it would fit well enough, especially towards where it meets the top of the tunnel. |

The Napoleon hat is what I don't know what the proper term is. I'd call it a front crossmember. On the rear I need the part on the body not the pan. |
